The Garden Design Process will consist of the following phases:

Initial Consultation and Proposal

Formal Estimate

Layout and Design Phase

Preparation of the Garden/Outdoor Space

Selection of Plant Materials

Deliveries and Installation

Landscape Management Plan

Design and Labor Fees:

Design and Shopping - $125.00 per hour (USD)

Delivery and Installation - $75.00 per hour (USD)

Hours and tasks will be carefully documented by the designer and submitted on an ongoing basis during the project.

Site Conditions:

Viridian will conduct a brief site analysis to discover the constraints and conditions that occur at any property. This can include but is not limited to soil testing, grading and topography, sun exposure, moisture, drainage, and city plot maps. We will make recommendations based on this analysis. However, not all plants are foolproof and may not adapt or acclimate as we hope. This may happen without fault to either Viridian, the property owner, or garden manager. 

Continued Maintenance and Care:

Healthy plants and proper planting techniques are based on current knowledge and practices and are key components to the success of any master plan. Viridian is trained in these areas. Plant failure is often a result of damage to the plant(s), swift or severe environmental changes, disturbances from animals, or improper care. Like plant nurseries, Viridian can not guarantee the plant materials’ survival once it is installed.

There is no such thing as a “maintenance free” garden. All gardens need a consistent regime for upkeep and care, this does take time. Even the lowest maintenance designs still need ongoing attention. Only you, as homeowner know what a reasonable commitment of time you are able to devote to your garden. This will usually be discussed in your initial consultation with Viridian. 

Payment:

Viridian requires a 50% deposit of the total project cost must be paid before the start of the project. This deposit can be paid by any method mentioned below.

The client may choose a method of payment from the following options:

Cash

Personal Checks - can be made out to Viridian Garden Concepts, LLC (please note, the project will not start until the deposit has cleared)

If there are any ongoing needs or questions, Viridian can provide any additional services you

need and will invoice accordingly. This can include, but is not limited to, plant care, watering

routines, fertilizing regimes, pest management, pruning, deadheading, seasonal changes of

plants and seasonal cleanups, to name a few.
